How we collect, use and protect your personal information.
Last updated: June 2026
Laser Lady Designs ("we", "us", "our") is a personalisation and laser-engraving business based in Limavady, Northern Ireland. We are the "data controller" responsible for your personal data. For any privacy question, contact us at laserladydesigns@hotmail.com.
When you place an order or get in touch, we may collect:
We do not see or store your card details — payments are handled securely by Stripe (see below).
Photos and files you upload are used solely to create your personalised item. We do not use them for anything else and we never sell or share them. We keep them only as long as needed to make and fulfil your order (and briefly afterwards in case of a reprint or query), then delete them. If you'd like a photo removed sooner, just ask.
We only share what's necessary to fulfil your order:
We never sell your data or pass it to anyone for their own marketing.
Our site uses a small number of essential cookies and similar storage to make the basket and checkout work. We don't use these to track you across other websites or for advertising. For how we measure where visitors come from, see Visitor analytics below.
To understand roughly where our visitors come from, we log each visit at an approximate, area level only — the location is rounded to about town level before it's saved, and we do not store your IP address or anything that identifies you personally. To estimate the area, your IP address is briefly checked against a third-party lookup service (ipwho.is) and then discarded. This information is used solely for our own visitor map and is never sold or used for marketing.
We keep order and contact records for as long as needed to provide our service and meet legal/accounting requirements (typically up to six years for tax records). Uploaded photos are deleted shortly after your order is complete, as above.
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access the data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict its use, and to data portability. To exercise any of these, email laserladydesigns@hotmail.com and we'll respond within one month.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk — though we'd appreciate the chance to put things right first.
